Effective date: February 25, 2026
Ventura Nomadica ("we," "us") respects your privacy. We are based in the United States, and we apply GDPR-style privacy principles (data minimization, transparency, and user rights) to everyone who uses our site or works with us.
What we collect
1) Information you provide
- If you email us, we receive whatever you include in your message (for example: your email address, name, and the contents of your email).
- If you become a client, we may process additional information needed to deliver services (for example: business details, billing details, and project communications).
2) Privacy-friendly website analytics (self-hosted Umami)
We use self-hosted Umami to understand general traffic and improve the site. It is configured to be privacy-friendly:
- No cookies
- No cross-site tracking
- No personal profiles
- Analytics is used in aggregate, not to identify you as an individual
Typical analytics includes pages viewed, referrers, device type, and general region (such as country).
External media (YouTube and social embeds)
From time to time we may include embedded content (such as YouTube videos or social media posts). These services can collect data about you (including through cookies or similar technologies).
To protect your privacy:
- External media is disabled by default.
- We only load external media when you choose to enable it (for example, by clicking "Load video" / "Load post" or accepting "External Media" in our consent prompt).
- If you enable external media, the third-party provider may receive information such as your IP address and the page you are visiting, and may set cookies according to their policies.
You can decline external media and still use the rest of the site.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not use advertising trackers or retargeting pixels.
- We do not create marketing profiles of individual visitors.
Why we process information
- To respond to messages you send us
- To provide services to clients
- To operate, secure, and improve the website
- To prevent abuse and maintain reliability
Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Consent (when you choose to contact us, or enable external media)
- Contract (when processing is necessary to deliver services)
- Legitimate interests (running a small website securely and improving it, while minimizing data collection)
International processing
Because we are US-based, information may be processed in the United States. If we work with vendors in other countries, information may also be processed there. Where safeguards are required, we use appropriate contractual protections.
Retention
- Emails and inquiries: kept as long as needed to respond and maintain reasonable records, then deleted or archived.
- Client communications: retained as needed to deliver services and meet legal/accounting obligations.
- Analytics: retained to understand trends and improve the site.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, or object to certain processing.
To make a request, email: [email protected].
Where GDPR applies, we generally respond within 30 days.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date will reflect the latest version.
